ACCOUNTANT - REF: SM/04/19/2024

A company in Ruiru-Thika is looking for an accountant with the following qualifications and requirements.
 
Key Requirements
 
A minimum qualification of CPA Section 4.
 
Minimum of two years’ experience working as an Accountant.
 
Should be 24 to 40 years of age, preferably male candidates.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
 
•Reconcile debtor’s accounts every month.
• Bank reconciliation end of every month.
• Preparation of all payments through cheque.
• Receipting all payments through cheques and EFTs in the relevant ledger accounts.
• Manage cash controls as well as maintain bookkeeping up–to–date.
• Ensure maintenance of the general ledgers in the system.
• Ensure invoices have all the supporting documents before dispatch to customers.
• Timely preparation and submission of VAT observing K.R.A deadline. This includes
KEBS LEVY and NITA.
• Reconciliation of suppliers’ statements for payment accuracy.
• Preparation of necessary documents to pay casuals.
• Verification of invoices from the stores’ department and filing to the respective files.
